I am displaying symptoms of anxiety...

As the day to the exams gets closer, and the number of days that I can study is reduced by various events, I can't help but feel stress and fearful...

Since last week, I've started to bite my finger nails. My 2 thumbs and right index finger nails are so short now. Got to take a while to grow them again. And my palms are perspiring non stop every moment, even right now as I'm writing this entry. I need my towel by my side all the time. And I have outbreaks on my face again. Tea tree oil doesn't seem to help.. Maybe it could have been much worse.

I need to apply what I've learnt in Sports Psychology to deal with my anxiety.

I need to apply what I've learnt in CGM last week too - Overcoming stress in our lives.
God's peace surpasses all understanding!

Grace grace!

Just got back from a day of brain damage. Had a 70 MCQ test this morning at 10.30am and a 100 MCQ test at 2.30pm. The papers are killer papers. The lecturers expect us to know what they DID NOT teach us. A lot of brain cells died in the process of GUESSING for the right answers and making sense out of the 5 choices given. I prayerfully hope that majority of my GUESSES will be correct.

I just realised that I had some rashes on both my ankles. It should be from the SMELLY and DIRTY blades that I rented yesterday!!! I washed my whole body TWICE with body foam last night after I got home.. and rashes still formed! This is how bad the condition of the blades are.. I will not rent blades again! Will add a pair of rollerblades to my wish list next year after graduation.

Anyway, I had fun rollerblading yesterday. Went quite a long distance left and right from MacDonald's with Jean and Jaslin. Jas was so nice to wait for Jean and I and making sure that we were both ok. Unlike Ms Chong who cycled off way ahead without waiting for us.. Haha. Poor Jas though. She cycled REALLY SLOWLY with us. It was really tiring to blade for 2 hrs. Tiring for Jas to cycle so slowly also. Haha. After that we went to the East Coast Food Centre for chicken wings, beef noodles and sugar cane drink.

After that, I was really tired and thought it should be time to be home to study for today's tests. However, Ben sent Jennifer home and we decided to check out her pets and room! Her dog's fur is very soft.. Goldie is actually very pretty. The cat is dropping lots of hair. I don't like flat face cats. =p Both pets are nice generally. Jen's mum is very nice too.. Very easy and nice to talk to.. Friendly! haha! We've yet to check on her room.. But Jen, MARK my words.. we'll visit your room SOON! Kekeke!

Rainbow after rain..

For all those who prayed for my friend. Thanks for your prayers. My friend has discharged from the hospital. Amazingly, she doesn't have to go through any operation. She'll be wearing a cast for 3 months instead. I want to pray for her speedy recovery because I promised to go cycling with her and her daughter in December. And I pray that little Gwen will forget the trauma and shock. Thank God!

Got back my physio MCQ test yesterday. It wasn't up to my expectation and I was a little sad over it. However, I was reminded that no matter what, I should still thank God. Moreover, it was a last minute revision. I should have managed my expectation. So I thank Him quietly in my heart.

Then after lunch, I had a 4-hrs break before my Maths test. I revised a little and left it to God. Went to take a nap and read my Bible before the test. Surprisingly, I know how to do all the questions. Really thank God for it. Although I don't know if there are any mistakes in my workings, but I'm already very happy that I know how to do the questions. God is so good and gracious to me.

After the test, it was already 5.45pm. I was supposed to meet some of them for dinner at 6.15pm at Yishun. I thought I had to miss my Milk prata. So I called Ben and I boldly asked him to pick me up at Boonlay and he agreed!! Asked and it will be given. Hee! I was so thankful and happy. And my classmate, Iskandar, laughed and commented that I was easily thrilled by little things in life. Ya. That's true. I'm actually a very easily satisfied and happy person. Anyway, thanks BEN! And to add on to the happiness, God created a rainbow in the skies! It was beautiful. His creation is really amazing!

As for today, I shall work hard to revise for my 2 Science papers on Mon and enjoy hard tomorrow to celebrate Valina's birthday! East Coast! Rollerblade! Here I come again! God please HOLD the rain tomorrow. Thank You, Jesus!

Urgent prayer request!

Dear all who are reading my blog, please pray for my friend Lynn. She just got discharged from hospital because of an accident. Now she found a watery pox on her arm. She's very worried that it is chicken pox and had quarantined herself from her kids. Let's pray that it is not chicken pox because she needs to breast feed her baby. God is a miracle working God. He has worked once for her, He will work again if we pray. The effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much!

Thanks a lot for your prayers! Thank You, Jesus!

It is more blessed to give than to receive!

Last Sun was our Building Fund Pledging weekend. I had been asking God of the amount that I should pledge. I've gone through many Building Fund campaigns but this time and the previous time were the toughest I ever had because I'm not receiving any pay or allowance.

Note: My mum and bro don't give me allowance at all...

Anyway, I don't know what happened, maybe it's because of the CG and service messages every week in preparation of Building Fund, I suddenly have a change of mindset. I'm no longer fearful of not having enough for myself. As I think back, God has really never shortchanged me. Though there were times where I really cried because I have no idea how to pay my bills or even to travel to school, somehow, everything will just work out eventually. Throughout my 1yr 6 months of no pay study leave, I'm still surviving well. I may not be rich now, but I will be in a few years time. Somehow, I have the assurance in my heart that God will take care of me. I have only 6 more months to go. He has taken care of me for so many years, He'll definitely take care of me these next 6 months.

Not only am I not fearful anymore, I'm not afraid to attend weddings to bless all my friends. It used to be that I'll turn down all the invitations and hide at home to avoid giving the ang baos. Now, I'm more than happy to attend the weddings and make sure I bless my friends. I really feel blessed to be able to bless my friends. 3 more weddings to go before this year end for me. I believe God will continue to keep me as I bless His people and give my Building Fund!

God is good!

A very BIG thank you to those who prayed for my friend. She injured her spine when a DRUNK driver knocked into her family's car 2 days ago. I knew that she'll be worried and all. So I went down to visit her yesterday though she insisted that I shouldn't be there. Anyway, I said a silent prayer for her at the hospital and sms a few others to pray for her too. God is good! Though she was hurting quite badly and couldn't move her body, she doesn't need to go for any operation! Thank God for that. All she needs now is a cast to support her back for 3 months. Poor her, she loves to move around and can't sit still for long, but now she has to be limited by that cast. So dear friends, now can we pray for speed recovery for her? I pray that she can move and jump around soon! I still wanna go cycling with her and her daughter!

And now, as I'm typing, I'm feeling tired. Gonna start on my Science Instructional Package. But I'm procrastinating and don't know how to start. But hey!!! Hui, there's no time for procrastination!!! Gambatte! Aja aja fighting! GOH Go Go!!!

Updates!!

Finally I can take a breather...

1st Nov
Here's the Chocolate prata that we had last Thursday!
Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Review: It's like eating chocolate biscuit. Nice! The normal egg and cheese prata is really... NORMAL. Hahaha.. I'm not as exaggerating as Ben. Gonna try out the MILK prata.

2nd Nov
Had a presentation. I think I was lacking in content. But well, I did the best that I know how already. God will do the rest. The lecturer commented that my years of teaching has done me well and was reflective in my presentation skills. Thank God for His grace and favor in completing the presentation. Before we ended our last session with our lecturer, we took a CLASS photo. Haha. Don't be shocked, including our lecturer, there's only 6 of us in the class.

After the presentation, we went to Chek Jawa! It's really a nice place. A pity that it rained halfway through our boat ride. And we were all soaked to the skin.. Ermx, I wasn't too drenched. But we were stranded at the jetty for 2hours plus.

Here's a picture of myself before the storm. (Narcistic me at work again) Check out the dark skies.

Here's a very classic picture. Check out my friend Hasri who looked like a fisherman that day. And we called ourselves.. The Fisherman's Friend! This was how we entertain ourselves!

This was the last picture that I took. Cos the rain finally stopped!

If you are going Chek Jawa, remember to bring insect repellent and mosquito patch. Put the patch on your neck and spray repellent all over including your clothes and pants. The mosquitoes there are.. DEADLY! They come in swarms. Spraying insect repellent on yourself will only invite them to feast on your face. So a mosquito patch is necessary to keep you safe throughout!

3rd Nov: Eliz's wedding!
It's been a great day! We had fun laughing at the bros doing the sabo. Though I think we were too easy on them. Most importantly, we all had fun!

Here's the beautiful bride and me!

My beautiful CG with the bride and groom!

Ladies power in N333 together with little cute Eugene! Eugene can laugh NON-STOP and his laughter is infectious! One of the few kids that I really love. (Ops.. no favoritism..)

Actually I kinda like this photo.. just that it showed my thick arms.. =( Time for work out!!!

Then I came out with a better idea.. Hide behind the macho men of N333!!!

That's the end of this long entry! Though it was a busy week, I enjoyed myself every single day! Wish the couple a happy marriage and be blessed in their coming in and going forth!

Busy Busy Busy!

It has been busy busy and busy these 2 weeks. I have a test tomorrow. So I can't afford to blog about the Chek Jawa trip, the prata, the beautiful wedding that I attended on Sat and a wonderful service I had on Sun. I won't be doing myself justice if I'm going to blog a long entry. So do wait on for more updates.. tomorrow night! Haha. At the end of this week, I should be going into seclusion for 2 weeks. So catch me this week and cya all again 2 weeks later!

MUG MUG MUG!!!

Thank God it wasn't painful...

I took an hour's bus ride to AH this morning to remove my stitches. Was late for 15min. In the end, I waited for one hour. Fell asleep on the couch. The removing of stitches only took 5min!!! And I had to take another 1 hour hourney back home. That's 3 hours wasted just to see the dentist for 5min. Anyway, I was glad that it wasn't painful at all. Finally the dentist gave me a syringe to flush the food stuck in the hole. I don't have to feel uncomfortable about the food stuck and rotting inside my mouth anymore!

The funny scene was, there were many people at the dentist today. All took about 5-10min and all came out with a sryinge. Haha.. They must have made a lot of money through the removing of wisdom teeth!

I'm so full!

I just came back from tuition. Felt so paiseh because the kid's dad bought prawn noodles for me. I was super full but I still finished up the noodles as much as I could. BLOATED now. It was really nice! Thank God for the good food today!

Oh ya. I bought a ring a few weeks ago during one of the bazaar at NIE. I really like the simple design it has. It's been missing for days. No matter how I searched for it, it just wouldn't appear. A few moments ago, it just appeared next to my lappy. Haha. Am I blind??!!

And, my family trip to KL and Genting was cancelled. What a disappointment! The only hope is our CG trip to KL...

Praise the Lord!

We finally finished our Pyscho project and presentation today! Everything went well and I think we really did very well!!! Well done all future Sports Psychologists!!!! We were all so happy and relieved that we decided to take a picture! It seemed like we are taking graduating photos.. What's lacking was the gown. Haha..

The future Sports Psychologists!

Child-Like Faith!

The beauty of not thinking a lot-- Child-like faith!

Sunday, October 28, 2007

Something popped within me. All of a sudden, I feel that it's not so bad to be single after all. In fact, I'm a free person! I don't feel miserable anymore. I'm set free! I'm letting go of my past and everything else. Once again, I'm gonna embark on my journey as a Child of God.

Someone smsed me this in Feb:
"You have been the one who's always beautiful in my eyes, the one whom I know has a great purpose. Life full of setbacks. But the greater the setback, the greater the bouncing back. And when you bounce back after a great setback, you would have learnt, overcome and emerged a greater deal."

That's tenacity! I know I wasn't as strong as what this person think I am. But this time I'm SERIOUS about bouncing back. And I hope that as I bounce back, I'll see this person bounce back as well. After thinking and living life directionlessly and purposelessly for 4 months makes me feel lethargic. This is NOT the kind of life that God wants us to live. I want to live a life that counts. I want to be happy. And I pray for that person to be happy too.

My prayer is for us to come out of our circumstances and live life to the fullest, enjoying every moment of it!

God of my forever!

GOD OF MY YOUTH I REMEMBER

GOD OF MY YOUTH I REMEMBER
YOUR CALL ON MY LIFE TOOK ME O'ER
YOUR LOVE HAS SEEN ME THROUGH ALL MY DAYS
I STAND HERE BY YOUR GRACE
ON THIS ALTAR I'VE WRITTEN MY LIFE
TELLS OF THE STORY I HAVE WITH YOU MY LORD
I WANT THE WORLD TO KNOW

GOD OF MY FOREVER
AND FOREVER I'M WITH YOU
MY LIFE IS SAVED WITH A PRICE
YOUR SACRIFICE REDEEMED MY SOUL

GOD OF MY FOREVER
AND FOREVER I WILL SING
MY GREATEST HONOR WILL ALWAYS BE
TO SERVE MY LORD AND KING

GOD OF MY LIFE I'VE SURRENDERED
MY HEART FINDS ITS REST IN YOUR WORD
PRAISES WILL NOT BE ENOUGH TO SHOW
HOW MY LOVE FOR YOU HAS GROWN
NOTHING MATTERS WHEN YOU'RE HERE WITH ME
IN THE END JUST TO HEAR YOU SAY “WELL DONE”
BOWING BEFORE YOUR THRONE

FOREVER AND EVER
JESUS YOU ALONE IN GLORY REIGN
FOREVER AND EVER
WITH YOU I WALK THIS NARROW WAY
Alright! We went Sungei Buloh Wetlands Reserve yesterday! It wasn't such a detailed trip and we didn't get to see a lot of stuff. And I'm still recovering from my puffy face and teeth-induced headache. But I'm glad that I went because after that, I went to have dinner at Sakae!! After so many days of PORRIDGE. And you know what? My family and I just went out for a PORRIDGE dinner. Hahaha.. The food was nice and cheap though.

Oh ya! Sungei Buloh! Picture paints a thousand words... So here you go!

My CLASSMATES!!! Check out my new mushroom head!

Irritating Sights on the train..

1. A wife scolding a husband in the public. Wife refused to sit next to the husband. Preferred to have an innocent gal sit in between them while she hurled and nagged at him. Poor guy can only smile in embarrassment. Poor gal in the middle can only blast her music loud and sleep.

2. Baby drinking milk in his pram. Throwing the milk bottle out of the pram and spilling milk all over the floor. Not once, but twice. How "cute" is that?! TSK!

3. Students talking and laughing loudly as if the whole train belongs to them. Thank God this doesn't happen in the morning.

4. Young kids running around the whole cabin, playing catching in the limited space. (Air con "playground" with lots of obstacles courses.)

5. Getting into the train with a few others. All smelled something awful. Everyone looks at each other and guessing who's the smelly one. Can't it be the person who just left the cabin??!

Yeah! I finally highlighted my hair!!!

I just spent 4hrs 30min at Kimage to cut, dye and highlight my hair!! And I'm happy with my hair. The 1st words my mum said was, "Ya, this should be the way you cut your hair!" Then she asked, "You dye also ah?" Which means? My hair is really nice at 1st sight!!! Though I think I look a little like mushroom head now. Or rather, more and more like chipmunks with the color now. Haha!

Anyway, I wanna thank God for it. Usually, Kimage considered my hair as LONG and charged me more for the cut. This time, they considered my hair SHORT. Then the person who cut my hair is not a novice! She's already trained and is there to apply for a job in Kimage. So, she knows exactly what to do and is very confident. So, I trusted in her and decided to color and highlight my hair according to what she suggests. She's very detailed from washing, to cutting, to dyeing and highlighting--that explains the long hour. I'm really satisfied with the service! Thank God!!

And I was soooooo hungry that I just ate 2 BIG BOWLS of porridge.. again. What to do? my cheeks are still hurting and I even had bruises on the right side. It actually surfaced after 3 days. Hmmm.. Guessed I must have pressed on my face while sleeping. Got to sleep properly tonight.

I threw away my teeth. They smelled. Yucks! If only I had dunno what solution to soak it. Hahaha... For what??!!! I don't know.

I'm sooooo sleepy now. But it's time to get moving for CG! I hope I won't appear too sleepy in front of everybody.
